Massachusetts Waste Ban Compliance Statement

Last Updated: 7/22/2024

1. Our Commitment to State Regulations

EcoCycle Hub is fully committed to operating in strict compliance with all environmental regulations set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP).

2. Compliance with Waste Disposal Bans (310 CMR 19.017)

We affirm that our facility and processes adhere to the Massachusetts Waste Disposal Bans, which prohibit the disposal of specific materials in landfills or incinerators. This is particularly relevant for the electronics we handle.

Specifically, EcoCycle Hub ensures the proper handling and recycling of:

  • Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs): All CRT monitors and televisions are managed and recycled through certified downstream partners to prevent the release of lead and other hazardous materials.
  • Asphalt Pavement, Brick, Concrete, Metal, and Wood: While our primary focus is electronics, we ensure that any of these materials co-mingled with our loads are properly segregated and recycled.
  • Whole Tires: Any tires received are directed to appropriate recycling facilities.

Our zero-landfill policy for all managed electronic waste ensures that we meet and exceed the requirements of the Massachusetts Waste Disposal Bans.

3. A Partner in Environmental Stewardship

By choosing EcoCycle Hub, our clients can be confident that their electronic waste is being handled in an environmentally responsible manner that is fully compliant with Massachusetts law. We provide our clients with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their retired assets will not contribute to landfill waste.
